Trust & Safety

Kiim is built to support safe transactions, but safety is a shared responsibility. This page explains common risks, what to avoid, and how to get help when something doesn’t feel right.

Golden rules

  • Stay on‑platform: keep chat, offers, and checkout inside Kiim whenever possible.
  • Never share codes: OTPs, verification links, recovery codes, or passwords.
  • Be cautious with urgency: scammers often push “act now” pressure.
  • Document everything: keep photos and conversation context if there’s a dispute.

Common scam patterns (and how to spot them)

Off‑platform payment requests
“Pay via bank transfer / external link / crypto.” Don’t. Use Kiim checkout so the transaction is tracked and support can help.
Fake shipping or tracking links
Don’t click unknown links. If you need shipping updates, rely on the in‑app flow or your trusted carrier’s official website.
Account takeover attempts
Messages asking for your verification code or telling you to “confirm your account” outside Kiim are red flags.

Prohibited and restricted items

Some items may be prohibited or restricted for safety, legal, or policy reasons (for example: illegal goods, dangerous items, or counterfeit products). If in doubt, don’t list it and contact support.

Reports and moderation (what happens)

  1. You report a listing or a user when you notice a problem.
  2. Kiim reviews available information (listing content, messages, account signals).
  3. Actions may include warnings, content removal, or account restrictions.

To help us act faster, include concise details and screenshots where relevant.
